20th Anniversary Ellwood City Easter Egg Hunt on April 12

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Ellwood City’s popular Easter Egg Hunt in Ewing Park. The Egg Hunt is open to all local children ages 9 and under with various age groups “hunting” at different times throughout the event, which runs from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm that Saturday and features a variety of fun, family friendly activities.


There will be a special hunt for children ages 4 and under in the Kid’s Created Kingdom beginning at 11:00 am. The main Easter Egg Hunt (children 5-9) will begin at 1:00 and will run consecutively for the following groups: Girls 5-6 years; boys 5-6 years; girls 7-9 years; boys 7-9 years. Treats will be given to each age category after each hunt. There will be 20 Chocolate Bunnies given away and 25 “Golden Eggs” hidden throughout the hunts. There will also be interactive games, inflatables, balloon art, a crafting area, a Chinese auction, face painting and wagon rides by the Lawerence County 4H. Hoppy the Easter Bunny will be on hand – bring your own camera for photos!  Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Wolves Shelter.

In case of bad weather, treats will be handed out at the entertainment shelter. The Egg Hunt will take place rain or shine!
