Crisis Shelter’s  32nd Annual Gala Auction: FIRE AND ICE!

Mark your calendar for the Crisis Shelter’s 32nd Annual Gala Auction scheduled for Saturday, March 7th at the Scottish Rite Cathedral, 110 E. This year’s Auction will include sports memorabilia, jewelry, designer handbags, our “famous” Wagon of Cheer, and so much more!  You can purchase a 50/50 ticket, Wagon of Cheer ticket or Quilt ticket, and you need not be present to win.  Mobile bidding will be available this year, as in the past.

Can’t make it to the event on March 7th?  No problem!  The Crisis Shelter utilizes a Smartphone App that will let you see the items up for bid and let you make real-time bids for those items!  You can even set a limit for an article you have your eye on, and bid from your own home!  The small price  you pay for this new service will be $10.00.  You can call the Crisis Shelter for more information.  You can  register for the Smartphone App, by calling the Crisis Shelter, and you will be able to bid on the large array of items.

The Crisis Shelter is the only domestic violence and sexual assault emergency shelter in Lawrence County and has been serving individuals and families in our County for nearly 40 years.  We provide a wide range of free services to women, children and men who are victims of all forms of violence including domestic violence, adult and child sexual assault, child and elder abuse, and other serious crimes.

Our caring, professional staff offers victim support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that meet the diverse needs of people of all ages, races, religions, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability and socioeconomic status.  Programs include a 24-hour hotline; temporary emergency shelter; transitional housing; legal and medical advocacy; individual and group counseling, including art therapy; community education; school prevention education and training for professionals.

The Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County empowers and advocates for those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes.  We inspire and educate citizens to create safer communities and break the cycle of violence.
